Allergies and Your Baby

Does your baby have allergies? This will be hard to tell until baby starts eating solids, and then it is best to give baby one new food at a time, for about a week or so to make sure there are no allergies.

For example, when you first start out giving baby solids give baby sweet potato's for a week along with breast milk or formula, and then move on the next week. Do this until all foods are tried and there are no allergies. When there are no allergies then baby can eat anything and everything that you can get them to open there mouths for.

If you suspect allergies let your doctor know, and at around 18 months maybe even sooner the doctor can do an allergy test to see what baby is allergic to.

Most babies even grow out of there allergy's, so good luck feeding solids to your baby.
